{news} We had an EPIC road trip through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and then a quick flight to New York City!
So we picked up our little rental car in Dallas, Texas and started to head south direction Austin. We set the GPS to avoid big highways so that we can see more of the countryside and locals. This was really interesting, Texas can give the same feeling as the Free State in South Africa. Every guy drives a huge bakkie or as they will say pick-up. We had fun! Staying on a ranch, buying cowboy boots, learning why we/they have to ‘Keep Austin weird’, SXSW, road tripping, shooting an AMAZING wedding (more about that soon) and having a little bit of hard core winter in NYC. Traveling is good. Life is super duper good.
On our arrival in Austin we were greeted with some lovely blossoms as spring was only three days away at that stage. The air was fresh and the city was buzzing as it was SXSW (South by South West). What a cool city, we immediately felt at home and just walked the streets amongst some beautiful and crazy cool people. We also interviewed a very special guy for our Wor{king} project, but more about that later.
As we left Austin, we drove past swamps and more amazing nature. It started to get hotter and greener as we moved closer to Florida. Here are some pics of the swamps and the lovely New Orleans, the jazz capital of the world (and maybe there we saw the happiest bums ever?).
